Infant Teacher
(ages 6 weeks – 12 months)
Orcas Island Children’s House is currently seeking a warm, nurturing early childhood educator for our Infant Classroom.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00
Pay Range $21-$25 DOE
Job Responsibilities
Provide responsive caregiving for up to 3 infants at a time
Using the framework of The Creative Curriculum, plan for experiences that promote learning and development
Respond appropriately to the social and emotional needs of infants
Maintain records of feeding and care, sharing daily communication with parents
Work cooperatively and professionally with staff members and parents
Maintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom environment
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and school functions (additional paid hours)

Job Requirements
Priority is given to those with a Washington Stackable Certificate, degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education, or willing to pursue one of the certificates/degrees above within six months of hire.
Familiarity and/or experience using the Creative Curriculum preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
